Biography

Elvis Requena is a development professional with over two decades of experience managing, coordinating, and implementing projects and programs across the environmental, health, social, and security sectors. Much of his career has been dedicated to serving the Government of Belize as an independent consultant, delivering project management services for initiatives supported by international funding institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, the Caribbean Development Bank, and most recently the Central American Bank for Economic Integration.
Elvis began his career in government service shortly after earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Belize in 2000. He later pursued a master’s degree in Development Economics at Williams College (2002) and, after completing it in 2003, has continued working consistently in project management. Committed to continuous improvement, he has completed multiple short professional development courses to strengthen his skills, however, he believes a more structured, long-term program will help him remain current with emerging development trends and techniques. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, watching documentaries on ancient civilizations, and preparing meals for his family.
