Biography
Alec Kridner is a first-year graduate student in the Political Science M.A. program at Illinois State University. Before being accepted into the graduate program, Alec earned his B.A. from Illinois State and graduated with Summa Cum Laude distinction. In his extracurricular work, Alec served as the Secretary for the Pi Sigma Alpha Executive Board and as a member to the Redbird Impact Philanthropy Leader program. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Alec hopes to inspire consistent engagement between himself and undergraduate learners and guiding them to utilize departmental resources.
In his free time, Alec has a passion for local environmental cleanup, devoting time towards magnet fishing (retrieving invasive metallic objects from waterways) and beautifying local parks while walking with his canine best friend, Charlotte. In addition, Alec enjoys travelling the U.S. with his best friends on impromptu trips, recently including Traverse City, Michigan and Orlando, Florida.
Research Interests & Areas
His academic interests include restorative environmental policies, innovative housing solutions, transportation infrastructure, and regulatory affairs.
